Since 1998, Simone Dal Cortivo has had a dream: to produce the best beer in the world.

To make this dream come true, after 10 years of homebrewing, he founded Birrone on April 19, 2008.

Simone had already achieved great success in another sector, growing the family bakery from three employees to 24 and opening six stores.

Starting Birrone was a huge challenge at the time, but it was driven by a strong desire: to turn his great hobby into his way of life.

At nearly 40 years old, dedicating himself full-time to producing and selling beer in a small company seemed impossible, but dreamers have an unstoppable urge to share their dreams. And Simone succeeded.

In just a few years, despite many difficulties, Birrone began to grow and gain recognition.

Tenacity and determination made it one of the most important craft breweries in Italy, and in 2015, Simone was proudly named Brewer of the Year.

In recent years, a deeper awareness has led him to change his goal: today, Simone knows his purpose in life is to make more and more people happy through his beers.

Claudia has been enthusiastically and impeccably managing our three companies for the past 10 years.

Thanks to her ability to tackle problems with extreme rationality, she efficiently manages and organizes the Administrative Department.

An indefatigable worker, she is comfortable handling thorny issues with agencies, customs, and banks, as well as with accountants and various office officials.

On weekends, she enjoys accompanying Simone, Birrone’s founder and brewer, on his tours to perform quality checks at venues, load kegs at festivals and events, or follow him on his “study trips” across Europe and the world, always in search of new inspirations.

Recently, she was appointed Head of the Administrative and Financial Office thanks to her tenacity and high-level management experience.

But her real challenge is managing Simone’s business development: keeping him grounded with pragmatism and rationality against his dreamy entrepreneurial drive isn’t always easy; sometimes she succeeds, sometimes not. Yet together, with a winning balance, they have built the Birrone we see today.

Gianmarco has an extremely challenging task: to fulfill Simone’s dream—Birrone’s founder and brewer—of making as many people as possible happy through his beers.

His growth journey has led him to become not just a salesperson, but a passionate ambassador of Birrone, ready to spread the word throughout the Veneto region.

In recent years, the awareness of having an exceptional product and the realization that its sales had never been fully prioritized led to the decision to hire Gianmarco. His mission is to find the best ways to bring our beers to a wider audience while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Every day, he focuses on identifying venue managers and making them aware that quality at the right price is the key to their success: knowing and choosing Birrone allows them to offer their customers beers that make them happy. And the ultimate goal for any publican is to make their customers “feel good.”

Mattia joined Birrone “by accident.”

Initially, he handled deliveries for the Artisan Bakery Dal Cortivo, a local bakery owned by Simone, Birrone’s founder and brewer.

He stumbled upon Birrone by chance but immediately showed interest in our world.

Since joining us in 2009, he has witnessed the complete evolution of our project, starting as a bottling assistant, kegging assistant, cellar helper, and performing all the necessary tasks when the company had only two employees.

Over time, proving himself increasingly responsible and determined, he began working independently on Birrone’s production system from 2015.

The greatest satisfaction came in 2016 when the 60-hectoliter production system arrived—his very own creation.

Simone remains the brewer, but Mattia is the one who actually makes the beers.

Today, he is the Production Manager for all departments, from raw material orders to bottling and kegging, including routine maintenance.

Andrea has always been there.

In the early years, he was the company’s biggest customer and occasionally helped Simone, Birrone’s founder and brewer, with organizing fairs and events. On April 19, 2008, at Birrone’s grand opening, he was on tap duty and in charge of tastings. Since 2012, he has been an official member of the Birrone staff.

Over the years, he and Simone traveled all across Italy during the “festival caravan” years: every weekend from March to October, you could find them somewhere in Italy, sharing our beers and our philosophy.

Today, Andrea is a fundamental pillar of Birrone: logistics manager, events coordinator, commercial tutor, and much more.

Thanks to his passion for Birrone, he manages to organize everything in the best possible way and guide clients and commercial area managers towards the optimal choices for each of them, being recognized as a key point of reference by everyone.
