Mattia joined Birrone “by accident.”
Initially, he handled deliveries for the Artisan Bakery Dal Cortivo, a local bakery owned by Simone, Birrone’s founder and brewer.
He stumbled upon Birrone by chance but immediately showed interest in our world.
Since joining us in 2009, he has witnessed the complete evolution of our project, starting as a bottling assistant, kegging assistant, cellar helper, and performing all the necessary tasks when the company had only two employees.
Over time, proving himself increasingly responsible and determined, he began working independently on Birrone’s production system from 2015.
The greatest satisfaction came in 2016 when the 60-hectoliter production system arrived—his very own creation.
Simone remains the brewer, but Mattia is the one who actually makes the beers.
Today, he is the Production Manager for all departments, from raw material orders to bottling and kegging, including routine maintenance.
